Change WIndows XP welcome screen :
Ever wondered if you can change the Windows XP welcome screen . Yes you can , using tools known as resource editors . Download resource editor from the download page and follow these simple steps :
- Run the resource editor and open the file 'logonui.exe" which is in the 'system32' folder.
- Go through the bitmaps and change the ones you want with the matching ones [Same size].
- Scroll down the "UIFILE" to change the background colours and gradients.
- Make a backup of the 'logonui.exe" file and replace the orginal with the modified one.
After you are done just logoff to see the changes.
If you are not sure or if you need to change the screen right now just download the premodified 'logonui.exe" file .

Change the Windows XP shutdown screen :
Try for your self , the file is "msgina.dll" in the system32 folder , or just download the modified "msgina.dll"
Always make a backup of the files you are editing , in case if any thing should go wrong.
